About the role

The Commis II will support the kitchen team at Aloft Abu Dhabi by preparing ingredients, cooking food, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

Prepare and portion ingredients, wash and peel fruits and vegetables, and measure and mix components.
Cook food according to recipes and quality standards, operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers, and test food for doneness.
Maintain workstation cleanliness, disinfect tools and equipment, and ensure proper temperature control.
Assist with set‑up and break‑down of work stations and serve food in correct portions.

Required profile

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of related kitchen experience.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 25 lb and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Required skills

Basic food preparation and cooking techniques.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment operation and safety procedures.
