Commis III - Kitchen Assistant

About the role

Emirates Flight Catering Co (L.L.C) is hiring a Commis III in Dubai. The role covers receiving deliveries, storing and handling food according to guidance from seniors, and preparing dishes according to menus while following hygiene and safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and make sure food items are stored, handled and consumed as briefed by seniors
• Arrange and dish food according to menus, in line with hygiene and safety procedures
• Familiarise yourself with products, processes, menus, ingredients and equipment in your area of operation
• Follow the specifications and instructions given by supervisors
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and tidiness in the kitchen, storage, chillers and freezers
• Keep kitchen equipment in good working order and report faults or damage to the supervisor
• Contribute to cost saving and reduce waste
• Attend scheduled training and perform other duties asked by management
• Report issues and comply with quality, health, safety and environmental policies

Required profile

• Minimum high school certificate
• Ability to understand and communicate clearly in a common language (English)
• No years of experience required
