Commissioning Superintendent Mechanical (U&O)

About the role

KBR is seeking a Commissioning Superintendent Mechanical (U&O) to lead on‑shore commissioning activities for a mega EPC project in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on ensuring mechanical systems are commissioned safely, efficiently, and in line with licensor and vendor procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with licensors and vendors to monitor commissioning activities and ensure compliance with procedural guidelines.
• Review pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures, manuals, and mechanical completion certificates.
• Participate in commissioning and troubleshooting meetings to resolve obstacles and verify system readiness for MC and RFSU certification.
• Monitor and approve punch‑list closure and ensure handover methodology complies with contractual documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 18 years of commissioning/operation readiness experience, preferably in the GCC region.
• At least 5 years in oil & gas or petrochemical projects, with exposure to sour‑gas, hydrogen production, or hydro‑desulfurization facilities.

Required skills

• Mechanical commissioning of large‑scale oil & gas or petrochemical assets.
• Experience with licensor and vendor coordination.
• Knowledge of sour‑gas, hydrogen production, and hydro‑desulfurization processes.
• Ability to review and validate commissioning manuals and mechanical completion certificates.
