Specialist, Operational Excellence

About the role

The Specialist, Operational Excellence will study and identify improvement opportunities, providing subject‑matter expertise to optimise all activities related to Operations Excellence. The role involves designing and implementing process changes that improve results, reduce cost, and eliminate waste while delivering technical training for aviation product handling.

Key responsibilities

• Lead awareness sessions on Operations Excellence, internal controls, policies and procedures for employees and partners.
• Identify, set, and assess standards of Operational Excellence to maximise safe and reliable asset performance.
• Present business process optimisation opportunities and build business cases for senior management.
• Facilitate lean and process‑improvement workshops, coordinate with sites, and prepare for audits.
• Develop value‑stream maps, measure current performance, and establish future‑state targets to eliminate waste and improve safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory.
• Own timely delivery of initiatives, reporting status and achievements to leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in continuous improvement, preferably in the oil and gas retail industry.
• PMP and/or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification preferred.
