Compliance Officer (Arabic speaker)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Compliance Officer to support the Head of Compliance in delivering a robust AML/CFT framework within a Free Zone environment. The role involves day‑to‑day client due‑diligence, risk assessment and regulatory liaison.

Key responsibilities

• Review medium‑high, high‑risk and override‑risk client applications, including KYC, EDD, beneficial ownership and risk ratings.
• Conduct and resolve PEP, sanctions, adverse media and company‑name screening alerts.
• Escalate high‑risk clients, potential sanctions matches and material risk triggers to senior management.
• Identify, assess and file suspicious activity reports (STRs/SARs) through UAE FIU goAML.
• Act as operational contact for UAE competent authorities and respond to regulatory requests.
• Deliver quarterly AML/CFT awareness training and prepare compliance performance reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
• 3‑5+ years of AML/CFT compliance experience, preferably in the UAE Free Zone or business‑setup sector.
• Strong understanding of UAE AML laws, sanctions screening and suspicious activity reporting.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
• High integrity, confidentiality and attention to detail.
