Consultant – Financial Crime & Regulatory Compliance

About the role

BDO UAE is seeking a Consultant to support regulatory, financial crime and AML compliance projects for its clients. You will work closely with client teams and internal cross‑functional groups to deliver high‑quality compliance reviews and reports.

Key responsibilities

• Execute AML risk assessments, CDD, EDD, transaction monitoring and sanctions screening engagements.
• Prepare detailed project reports, working papers and SAR/STR submissions via GoAML platforms.
• Collaborate with legal, compliance and internal audit functions to identify red flags and improve operational workflows.
• Contribute to the design of compliance governance frameworks, risk registers and customer risk rating models.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Audit or Risk.
• ACAMS certification (mandatory) and 3–4 years of AML/Financial Crime experience in UAE financial institutions.
• Experience in exchange houses, DNFBP sectors or banks with a focus on compliance governance.
• Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills in English.
