Consultant Pain Medicine – Interventional Specialist (UAE)

About the role

Renowned private healthcare hospital in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant in Pain Medicine / Consultant Anesthesiologist – Pain Medicine to lead the assessment and management of patients with acute, chronic, cancer‑related and complex pain.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage patients suffering from a wide range of pain conditions.
• Develop individualized pharmacological and non‑pharmacological pain management plans.
• Perform advanced interventional pain procedures such as nerve blocks, epidural injections and other image‑guided interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiology, neurology, orthopedics and rehabilitation.
• Monitor treatment outcomes, adjust plans and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations.
• Participate in clinical education and mentor junior medical staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Postgraduate training in Anesthesiology or related primary specialty.
• Fellowship or recognized subspecialty training in Pain Medicine.
• Minimum 5 years post‑specialty/consultant experience, preferably focused on Pain Medicine.
• Eligibility for a DOH/DHA/MOHAP consultant licence.
• Strong clinical communication and interpersonal skills.
