Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist

About the role

A leading tertiary‑care hospital in Dubai is seeking an experienced Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to lead its Pediatric Cardiac ICU. The role involves delivering expert critical‑care management for neonates, infants and children with congenital and acquired heart disease.

Key responsibilities

• Provide pre‑operative stabilization, post‑operative care and management of interventional cardiology cases.
• Lead daily PCICU rounds, coordinate multidisciplinary care plans and ensure on‑call coverage for cardiac emergencies.
• Interpret echocardiography, hemodynamic studies and advanced imaging; manage ECMO, mechanical ventilation and advanced hemodynamic monitoring.
• Develop clinical pathways, quality‑improvement initiatives and mentor junior staff.
• Engage families with clear communication and support long‑term care planning.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD/MBBS) and board certification in Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Anesthesiology with fellowship in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care.
• 8–10 years post‑specialisation experience in a high‑volume cardiac centre, including consultant‑level practice.
• Eligibility for Dubai Health Authority Consultant licensure and fluency in English.
