Consultant Pediatric Intensive Care (PICU) – Dubai

About the role

A leading Dubai hospital is seeking a Consultant in Pediatric Intensive Care to lead its state‑of‑the‑art PICU. You will manage critically ill children with complex medical and surgical conditions, applying advanced life‑saving interventions within a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver expert care to high‑acuity pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Perform advanced procedures such as mechanical ventilation, ECMO, and invasive monitoring.
• Collaborate with pediatricians, surgeons, nurses, and allied health professionals to design individualized treatment plans.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to clinical education programs.
• Lead quality‑improvement initiatives and uphold international care standards.
• Participate in clinical research and stay current with PICU advancements.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Pediatric Intensive Care / Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.
• Western training (USA, UK, Canada, or equivalent) – mandatory.
• Minimum 3–5 years post‑board experience in a consultant PICU role.
• Eligibility for DHA Consultant licensure.
• Strong leadership, communication, and family‑centered care philosophy.
