Consultant Pediatrician

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and management of infants, children, and adolescents.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric illnesses, conduct routine examinations, developmental assessments, and preventive health screenings.
• Manage pediatric emergencies, coordinate specialist referrals, and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Supervise and mentor junior pediatricians, residents, and clinical team members.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with DOH regulations and patient‑safety standards.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree with postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics.
• Board certification or equivalent consultant‑level qualification (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, etc.).
• Minimum 5‑10 years post‑specialization experience in Pediatrics, preferably in tertiary‑care or children’s hospitals.
• Eligible for DOH Consultant Pediatrics license in Abu Dhabi.
• Strong clinical judgment, leadership, communication, and patient‑management skills.

Required skills

• Extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating a wide range of pediatric medical conditions.
• Experience with pediatric emergencies, developmental assessments, and preventive care.
• Ability to interpret pediatric laboratory investigations and imaging studies.
