Consultant Rheumatologist – Leading UAE Hospital

About the role

A top‑leading hospital in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant Rheumatologist to deliver expert diagnosis, treatment and long‑term management of rheumatic and autoimmune disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of rheumatologic conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, gout and vasculitis.
• Develop individualized treatment plans using biologic therapies, immunomodulatory agents and disease‑modifying medications.
• Perform joint assessments, injections and aspirations as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists and immunologists.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in EMR systems and participate in audits and quality improvement.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) with postgraduate training in Rheumatology.
• Board certification or fellowship in Rheumatology and at least 5 years post‑specialty experience.
• Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic skills and ability to manage complex chronic cases.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities within a hospital setting.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of biologic and immunomodulatory therapies.
• Proficiency with disease‑modifying anti‑rheumatic drugs (DMARDs).
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
