Consultant / Specialist Pulmonologist – Respiratory & Lung Medicine

About the role

A leading multispecialty hospital in Dubai is expanding its Respiratory Medicine and Pulmonary Care services. The Consultant / Specialist Pulmonologist will deliver comprehensive care for acute and chronic respiratory diseases within a modern hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of lung conditions including asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and complex pulmonary infections.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, spirometry, bronchoscopy and other diagnostic procedures.
• Provide inpatient consultations for acute respiratory failure and collaborate with critical care, thoracic surgery and internal medicine teams.
• Manage sleep‑related breathing disorders and coordinate sleep study evaluations.
• Develop personalised treatment plans, educate patients on smoking cessation and pulmonary rehabilitation, and ensure documentation complies with regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years post‑specialist or board certification in Pulmonary Medicine.
• Eligibility for DOH/DHA/MOH licensing in the UAE.
• Board‑recognized qualifications (e.g., American Board, UK CCT, Arab Board, etc.).

Required skills

• Pulmonary function testing (PFTs) and spirometry.
• Bronchoscopy and related pulmonary procedures.
• Management of sleep‑related breathing disorders.
• Interpretation of advanced respiratory imaging.
