Contract Design Engineer

About the role

Lucy Group Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic Contract Design Engineer to join its close‑knit engineering team in Dubai. The role focuses on delivering electromechanical design solutions that meet exacting customer specifications while supporting the manufacturing facility.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute design activities within tight timelines, producing accurate wiring schematics and manufacturing drawings.
• Develop mechanical and sheet‑metal solutions for MV/LV switchgear, ensuring cost, quality and functional requirements are met.
• Generate complete customer‑approval drawing packages and Bills of Material in accordance with Lucy’s PLM system and design procedures.
• Collaborate with pre‑ and post‑sales teams and continuously suggest improvements to design processes.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering with a focus on MV/LV switchgear.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in switchgear‑related design, including auxiliary electrical, electronic and protection systems.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer‑centred attitude.
