Contracts & Procurement Officer

About the role

The Contracts & Procurement Officer provides efficient, accurate, and timely contracts and purchasing services for internal and external clients, ensuring value for money and compliance with university policies.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and maintain commercial and contractual arrangements, including RFI/RFP processes and cost proposals.
• Negotiate and administer contracts, monitor financial activity of prime and sub‑contracts, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Purchase goods and services for both campuses, analyze vendor quotations, and manage purchase orders and amendments.
• Liaise with project staff, finance, and vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a government or higher‑education setting.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain confidentiality.
