Demi Chef de Partie

About the role

The Demi Chef de Partie will join the kitchen team at Aloft Hotels in Dubai, supporting the preparation and cooking of a wide range of dishes. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene and presentation in a fast‑paced hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and storing fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality checklists.
• Cook and assemble dishes, ensuring consistency with presentation and temperature standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers safely.
• Test food for doneness and monitor quality throughout the cooking process.
• Set up and break down work stations, maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety, hygiene and company policies, reporting any issues to the manager.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a commercial kitchen.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work long periods standing, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions.
• Commitment to food safety, sanitation and team collaboration.
