Depot Construction Manager (Rail Infrastructure)

About the role

We are looking for a Depot Construction Manager to lead the construction of a new rail maintenance depot as part of a major infrastructure programme. The role involves overseeing all on‑site activities, coordinating multiple trades, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time and to the required technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day construction activities from ground‑breaking to handover.
• Coordinate civil engineering, utility networks and technical installations across multiple contractors.
• Monitor progress against the schedule and report deviations to senior project management.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Identify risks, propose corrective actions and maintain effective communication with all stakeholders.
• Participate in site meetings and drive issue resolution.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in civil engineering, construction or a related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience managing complex, multi‑trade construction projects.
• Strong organisational and coordination abilities.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience in the rail sector is a plus but not mandatory.
