Deputy / Assistant Registrar of Companies (Emirati)

About the role

The Deputy/Assistant Registrar of Companies will support the Registrar in managing company registration, licensing and compliance functions in Dubai. This senior position ensures that statutory and regulatory requirements are met while delivering high‑quality service to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and apply relevant legislation such as the Companies Law, Operating Law and Insolvency regulations.
• Oversee company incorporation, licensing and classification processes, ensuring compliance with service level agreements and internal procedures.
• Assist in developing and updating policies, procedures and regulatory frameworks.
• Support implementation of compliance programmes covering AML/CFT, ESR, FATCA and CRS, and coordinate with internal compliance teams.
• Participate in internal committees, prepare reports, agendas and decision documentation.
• Liaise with government entities, regulatory authorities and external partners, representing the Registrar as required.
• Drive process improvements, monitor key performance indicators and ensure data integrity of public records.
• Provide team leadership, coaching and contribute to workforce planning.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in legal, regulatory or government‑related roles.
• Experience within government, free zones or regulatory bodies is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law; a Master’s degree or legal qualification is advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of UAE legal and regulatory frameworks governing companies.
• Understanding of AML/CFT, ESR, FATCA and CRS compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, decision‑making and stakeholder‑management abilities.
