About the role

Edison Smart is seeking a security‑focused DevSecOps Engineer to join its Platform team in the UAE fintech sector. You will be a hands‑on builder, implementing controls, pipeline gates and detection rules rather than writing compliance reports, and you will collaborate closely with security, IT and AI teams.

Key responsibilities

Harden Kubernetes with RBAC, network policies, admission controllers and image scanning.
Build shift‑left security into CI/CD pipelines, including IaC scanning, SAST, SCA and secrets scanning.
Set up detection engineering with SIEM pipelines and custom detection rules.
Own AWS identity, access management and secret handling.
Participate in the SRE on‑call rotation.

Required profile

4+ years of experience in SRE or DevOps, with at least 2 years focused on security.
Strong Kubernetes and AWS security expertise.
Hands‑on experience with Terraform, Checkov and Trivy.
Proficiency in Python, Go or Bash scripting.
Background working in a regulated environment.
