About the role

The Al Jazeera Al Hamra Heritage Village (AJAH) seeks a visionary Director to lead its strategic direction, operations, preservation, and development. Reporting to the Al Qasimi Foundation, you will be responsible for safeguarding the village’s cultural authenticity while transforming it into a premier regional and international heritage destination.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a long‑term strategic plan and operational roadmap for AJAH.
• Oversee heritage conservation, tourism activation, cultural programming, and visitor experience.
• Manage site operations, infrastructure readiness, and financial planning.
• Engage with government authorities, tourism bodies, cultural organisations, consultants, and local communities.
• Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and revenue‑generating initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with heritage conservation standards and sustainability goals.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in heritage destination management, cultural institutions, or large‑scale public tourism operations.
• Proven leadership in multidisciplinary teams and complex project delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management and partnership development skills.
• Demonstrated ability to balance preservation with commercial tourism growth.
