Director - Business Excellence

About the role

This Dubai-based role leads the organisation's strategic planning, business performance, corporate governance and transformation initiatives. It focuses on strengthening operational efficiency, overseeing the PMO and project portfolio, driving continuous improvement and keeping the business aligned with its objectives. The salary is AED 55,000 to 60,000 per month plus benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Business Excellence strategy across the organisation.
• Establish governance frameworks, operating models, policies and procedures.
• Lead strategic transformation and operational improvement, process optimisation and productivity.
• Lead the PMO, set project management methodologies and reporting, and manage the project portfolio and risks.
• Monitor KPIs, review financial and operational results, and develop executive dashboards.
• Review business cases, budgets and business plans, and advise senior leadership on strategy and governance.
• Partner with department heads, oversee executive meetings and strategic reviews, and manage stakeholder relationships and external consultants.
• Drive change management, continuous improvement, accountability and innovation, and build leadership capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance or a related field; Master's or MBA highly desirable.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong PMO leadership and project portfolio management background; previous management consulting experience strongly preferred.
• Big Four experience is advantageous; engineering or finance academic background preferred.

Required skills

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification (mandatory).
• PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification (mandatory).
• Proven financial and business acumen, performance management and strategic planning exposure.
• Corporate governance and enterprise-wide transformation experience.
• Leadership, analytical and executive stakeholder management skills.
