Director of Model Audit

About the role

Gridlines is seeking a Director of Model Audit to lead and grow its model audit practice in the United Arab Emirates. You will inspire a team of modelling professionals, ensuring financial models are robust, reliable, and aligned with client needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the growth and development of the model audit team.
• Manage multiple teams across a portfolio of active assignments.
• Provide strategic guidance and insight for assignment delivery.
• Review commercial documentation and ensure accurate reflection in financial models.
• Develop and enhance financial modelling methodologies and tools.
• Plan and allocate resources across the team.
• Foster a collaborative, high‑performing culture.
• Drive business development, client pitches, and practice expansion.

Required profile

• Entrepreneurial flair with a drive to create exceptional outcomes.
• Recognised leader in the model audit sector.
• 10+ years of senior‑level experience in financial model audit, especially project finance.
• Strong understanding of accounting concepts; accounting qualification is a plus.
• Degree in a numerate discipline; postgraduate finance or accounting qualification beneficial.
• Familiarity with the FAST financial modelling standard is desirable.
