District Representative - Water Technology Sales

About the role

Nalco Water, an Ecolab company, is looking for a District Representative to join its sales team in the UAE. The role drives revenue and profit growth in targeted accounts through a consultative approach: building relationships with existing customers, converting strategic competitive accounts and selling new technologies. The position is based in Dubai and covers the whole of the UAE, with 30% overnight travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and execute sales plans in the existing customer base and in assigned competitively-held accounts to meet profit increase goals.
• Work with current and prospective customers to understand their needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including plant or facility executives.
• Provide technical support, identify and resolve customer challenges and escalate where needed.
• Perform system analysis, interpret data and give written recommendations so customer operations run at optimal levels.
• Sell and support Nalco Water innovations and technologies in assigned customers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Three years of technical sales or field sales support experience.
• Preferred: engineering degree in chemical, mechanical or industrial engineering, or life sciences; water treatment or specialty chemicals experience.
• Preferred: working knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, wastewater treatment systems and swimming pools.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
