Document Controller

About the role

Fisher HR is hiring a Document Controller in Dubai on a full-time basis. The role manages and maintains all project-related documents, records and correspondence, keeping them organised, controlled and confidential.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, register, distribute and track incoming and outgoing documents.
• Maintain an organised document filing system, electronic and hard copy.
• Ensure proper version control and prevent the use of outdated or unauthorised documents.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants and other departments on document submissions and updates.
• Monitor document status and follow up on pending approvals and submissions.
• Prepare document transmittals, logs, registers and reports as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with document control procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Document Controller, preferably in a construction or engineering company.
• Knowledge of document control procedures, filing systems and document management practices.
• Familiarity with technical documents, drawings, specifications and project correspondence.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple documents, meet deadlines, and work independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
• Experience with document management systems is an advantage.
