Draftsman – Wood Joinery and CAD Design

About the role

The Draftsman will create detailed technical and shop drawings for wooden doors, frames, toilet cubicles, lockers, kitchen cabinets and related joinery products. Working on‑site in Umm Al Quwain, you will translate client concepts and architectural plans into accurate CAD documentation for fabrication and installation.

Key responsibilities

• Review architectural and design plans and produce precise AutoCAD and SketchUp drawings.
• Coordinate with designers, engineers and production teams to ensure drawings meet project specifications.
• Update and revise drawings based on feedback and changes.
• Assist in material estimation and maintain organized drawing records.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards for carpentry, fire‑rated doors and kitchen furniture.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a joinery or fit‑out company in the UAE.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and 3D modelling tools.
• Strong knowledge of wood joinery details, technical drawing standards and blueprint interpretation.
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture or a related field.
• Ability to work on‑site in Umm Al Quwain and meet project deadlines.
