Driver Clerk – Hospital Transportation

About the role

The Driver Clerk supports the Transportation Supervisor at American Hospital Dubai, performing a variety of driving duties across the emirate. The role includes scheduled mini‑bus collections, airport pickups, and transport for visa, ministry, bank, laboratory, mail and other hospital‑related assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily driving assignments according to the hospital’s schedule and rota.
• Maintain vehicles to required standards and perform daily safety checks.
• Comply with all road transport regulations, signage and traffic conditions.
• Complete incident reports and communicate them to the Quality Improvement department.
• Provide on‑call support for emergencies, laboratory runs and other urgent transports.
• Monitor reports and statistics, offering recommendations to improve resource utilization.
• Implement sustainable practices to reduce fuel consumption and operational costs.

Required profile

• Trade school or high‑school graduate.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• Minimum two years of professional driving experience.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission International Accreditation (JCIA) standards.
• Ability to read and write English.
