Engineer II Special Processes

About the role

The Engineer II – Special Processes is a hands‑on technical position supporting the development, qualification and industrialisation of aerospace special processes for Powertech's propulsion programmes, including turbofan, microjet and piston engines.

Key responsibilities

• Support development, qualification and continuous improvement of special processes for rotating, structural and hot‑section engine components.
• Maintain manufacturing routings, process specifications, work instructions and control plans; assist with process validation activities such as FAI, capability studies and industrial qualification.
• Provide NPI and production support, including ramp‑up, troubleshooting, root‑cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Participate in concurrent engineering, offering manufacturing feedback during design reviews and supporting tolerance analysis, process selection and material trade studies.
• Interact with external special‑process suppliers, conduct supplier process reviews, part qualification and provide shop‑floor support during trials and production builds.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace or propulsion manufacturing with hands‑on expertise in at least two special‑process technologies.
• Practical, detail‑oriented problem‑solver able to work in a fast‑paced, greenfield manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of aerospace materials (titanium alloys, nickel‑based superalloys, stainless steels, aluminium alloys) and exposure to aerospace quality systems and NADCAP requirements.
