Engineer, Inspection (Inspection Team – Habshan & Bab)

About the role

The Engineer, Inspection will provide expertise and assume full responsibility for inspection activities across the Habshan and Bab sites. The role ensures equipment and piping operate within design limits and supports plant integrity and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor mechanical performance of equipment during daily operation and test runs, preparing reports to ensure compliance with design limits.
• Ensure functionality and upkeep of cathodic protection and other corrosion control systems.
• Update and maintain inspection records and files for plant equipment and storage tanks.
• Assess corrosive conditions, evaluate material performance in process streams, and review metallurgy for modifications and major projects.
• Carry out corrosion studies, failure analysis, root‑cause analysis and failure investigations, and prepare corrective action reports.
• Inspect process plant equipment, tanks, piping, safety relief valves, and lifting equipment, and review inspection observations after turnarounds.
• Calculate remaining life assessments and recommend repairs or operating parameters to extend equipment life.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry.
