Ethics & Compliance Associate Director – Gulf & International DMF

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking an experienced professional to lead and enhance its compliance programme across the Gulf region (UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain) and to drive the Distributor Management Framework (DMF) for the International Region. Reporting to senior compliance leadership, the role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on implementation of global compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the eight‑element compliance programme for Gulf markets.
• Lead governance, continuous improvement and oversight of the International Region DMF, ensuring consistent application of tools and standards.
• Support rollout and optimisation of AstraZeneca systems (iRiskGPT, E3s, DMF) as the first line of defence.
• Provide guidance to local senior leadership on non‑GXP compliance, risk management and audit support.
• Coordinate Local Compliance Committee meetings, maintain records and drive engagement.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of relevant experience in compliance, risk management or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership and influence cross‑functional teams.
• Strong understanding of local regulations in the Gulf region and international pharmaceutical standards.
