Executive Manager - Procurement

About the role

Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) is hiring an Executive Manager for its Procurement function within the Finance team. The role leads the development and implementation of bank-wide procurement strategy and framework, manages procurement initiatives and oversees vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a bank-wide procurement strategy that manages supply and demand and extracts maximum value from key vendor relationships.
• Build and run a pan-bank procurement framework covering everything from simple product purchases to infrastructure, technology, risk and insurance, consultancy and other services.
• Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation and demand planning for bank-wide or infrastructure procurement initiatives.
• Collaborate with critical suppliers, partners and third parties to negotiate long-term supply contracts and extract best value.
• Manage the team in line with ADCB's people management policies, set individual objectives, manage performance and give formal and informal feedback.
• Contribute to the business area's budget and monitor financial performance against it.
• Recommend and implement improvements to departmental policies, procedures and processes, and support organisational change initiatives.
• Apply ADCB's service standards in all internal and external customer interactions.

Required profile

• At least 8 years of experience leading a large procurement function.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration.
• CIPS accreditation or equivalent.
