Finance and Reporting Specialist

About the role

Bitexen is seeking a proactive Finance and Reporting Specialist to support the CFO in overseeing accounting, financial and regulatory reporting, treasury, and cash‑flow management. The role will act as the main liaison with outsourced accounting providers, ensuring accurate and timely financial records and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CFO on accounting, financial reporting, regulatory reporting, treasury, budgeting and management information needs.
• Coordinate and review work of outsourced accounting service providers, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations and financial statements.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes and follow up on outstanding items.
• Prepare and review management accounts, performance reports and board reporting packs.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, cash‑flow projections and conduct variance analysis.
• Monitor cash positions, liquidity, payment schedules and banking balances.
• Support preparation and timely submission of ADGM and FSRA regulatory reports.
• Maintain financial records, reconciliations and documentation for audit and regulatory purposes.
• Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, tax and VAT advisors, banks and other financial service providers.
• Oversee banking operations, payment processes and treasury‑related activities.
• Review invoices, expenses and vendor payments in line with internal approval processes.
• Assist in improving financial controls, policies and reporting procedures.
• Provide analysis of financial data, identify trends and deliver insights for management decisions.
• Evaluate financial impact of new products, services and business initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to automate and enhance accounting, reporting and treasury processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting or reporting.
• Proven experience coordinating outsourced accounting providers and managing regulatory reporting.
• Strong understanding of treasury management, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow analysis.
• Experience working closely with senior finance leadership (CFO) and preparing reports for senior management and boards.
• Ability to liaise with auditors, tax advisors, banks and other external partners.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on accuracy, compliance and internal controls.
