Finance Controller – Emerging Markets (Dubai)

About the role

Abbott is seeking a Finance Controller for its Emerging Markets portfolio, based in Dubai, UAE. The role partners with regional leadership to drive financial planning, analysis, and performance management across more than forty direct and distributor markets.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor to regional leadership and commercial teams on pricing, distributor management, investments, and market expansion.
• Lead Latest Best Estimate (LBE), Organic Execution Model (OEM) and scenario analysis modeling processes.
• Provide timely financial reporting, business insights, and support integrated business planning.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, ensuring reporting accuracy.
• Maintain a strong internal control environment and support internal and external audits.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow, accounts receivable, and inventory performance.
• Drive process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements.
• Build cross‑functional partnerships and develop finance talent.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration or equivalent.
• Professional accounting qualification preferred (CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA).
• Experience in financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and internal controls.
• Strong analytical and business partnership capabilities.
