Finance Executive – FP&A Trainee

About the role

The Finance Executive (FP&A Trainee) will support the Financial Planning & Analysis function at Al-Futtaim Contracting. The role involves preparing and circulating financial reports, managing budget and forecast submissions, and performing variance analysis. You will work closely with the Financial Reporting Manager and interact with various business units.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Reporting Manager in extracting and organizing monthly MIS reports and circulate them to stakeholders.
• Take ownership of the budget and forecast submission process in SAP and BPC, handling quarterly uploads and communicating final P&L figures to SBU owners.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis for each line of business, providing insights to support decision‑making.
• Support ad‑hoc requests from Business Analysts and Operations, and collaborate with the wider finance team to meet group reporting requirements.

Required profile

• B.Com (completed or pursuing) or Inter CA / Inter CMA.
• 0–2 years of experience, preferably in engineering or construction finance.
• Familiarity with ERP financial software, especially SAP and BPC.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
