Finance Faculty Member – Business School

About the role

The Faculty – Business (Finance) role involves delivering effective instruction to second‑language learners, fostering a student‑centric environment, and contributing to academic and community activities at Higher Colleges of Technology.

Key responsibilities

• Teach finance and business courses using applied, student‑centered methods, develop curriculum and assessment materials aligned with accreditation standards.
• Engage in applied research relevant to national innovation priorities, present at conferences and mentor student research projects.
• Provide academic advising, support at‑risk students, supervise internships and maintain regular office hours.
• Participate in faculty, program and system‑wide committees, contribute to policy development and community outreach.
• Maintain teaching facilities, prepare electronic course assessment files and ensure quality‑assurance processes are followed.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a Master’s degree with professional certification and at least five years of combined teaching and industry experience; a Bachelor’s degree with extensive industry experience may also be considered.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience in finance or related business subjects and three years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience in curriculum development, accreditation processes and incorporation of educational technology into instruction.
