Finance Manager – Environmental Services/Waste Management

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager / Financial Controller to lead the finance function for a leading environmental services and waste‑management company in Abu Dhabi. The role will provide accurate financial information, support strategic decisions and ensure compliance with UAE regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and present monthly financial performance reports to senior management.
• Coordinate the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts.
• Produce internal and external financial statements in line with IFRS and UAE VAT requirements.
• Maintain and update cash‑flow forecasts, manage treasury operations, bank guarantees and hedging activities.
• Oversee accounts receivable, implement collection strategies, and manage accounts payable processes.
• Handle payroll, remuneration controls and related reporting.
• Coordinate audits with statutory, financial and local‑content auditors and ensure timely completion.
• Ensure compliance with UAE tax, corporate and accounting regulations.
• Develop and enforce financial controls, policies, procedures and SOPs.
• Support procurement activities, negotiate service agreements and drive cost‑efficiency.
• Collaborate with operational teams to improve financial performance and resource efficiency.
• Lead financial system updates, upgrades and digitalisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Hands‑on finance professional with strong knowledge of financial reporting, IFRS, UAE VAT, budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and internal controls.
• Proven experience in managing finance functions within a corporate environment.
• Ability to work autonomously, meet tight deadlines and support strategic objectives.
