Finance Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the financial operations of a premier luxury resort, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cost control, and compliance with UAE regulations. This role supports strategic decision‑making and works closely with the Director of Finance to drive financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations and ensure timely accounting.
• Supervise the Finance team, maintaining efficient workflow and adherence to policies.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and analyses.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, business plans, and financial projections.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, payroll, cash flow, and operating costs to identify variances.
• Implement cost‑control measures across all hotel departments, especially Food & Beverage and Rooms.
• Review accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, cash management, and bank reconciliations.
• Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, supported, and reconciled.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and UAE regulations.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation.
• Conduct regular financial reviews with department heads and recommend profitability improvements.
• Manage inventory control, including stock counts and variance investigations.
• Monitor purchasing and receiving processes to uphold financial controls.
• Support the Director of Finance in financial planning, business analysis, and strategic decisions.
• Identify cost‑saving and revenue‑enhancement opportunities while maintaining operational standards.
• Ensure timely completion of month‑end and year‑end closing activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all financial information.
