Financial Controller

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead financial acquisition projects, conduct feasibility studies and support M&A decisions. The role ensures accurate, timely financial reporting and drives strategic financial planning.

Key responsibilities

• Project‑manage implementation and upgrades of the business‑plan model.
• Prepare quarterly business plans including P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
• Conduct sensitivity analyses and benchmark best‑practice assumptions.
• Produce comprehensive financial analyses covering investment, hedging, funding and payment terms.
• Analyse financial statements, interpret data and present insights to senior management.
• Initiate and lead feasibility studies for mergers, acquisitions and new investments.
• Oversee the investment process for M&A, including bank loan and Sukuk financing and related presentations.
• Prepare financial material for Investment, Audit and Executive Committee approvals and support budgeting and re‑forecasting activities.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant qualification (CPA, ACCA, CA) or a business degree from a reputable school; additional CIMA or CFA qualification is desirable.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an investment bank, audit firm or a Big 4 consultancy, preferably with exposure to M&A portfolios.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of data‑warehousing and business‑intelligence tools.
