Fit-Out Project Manager

About the role

The Fit-Out Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and delivery of firefighting and fire‑alarm fit‑out projects, ensuring they meet client specifications, NFPA standards, local regulations, and company quality criteria. The role requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to achieve safe, on‑time, and on‑budget outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor fire‑protection fit‑out projects according to approved drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
• Develop detailed schedules, allocate manpower, subcontractors, equipment and resources.
• Provide technical leadership to site engineers, supervisors and installation teams.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal departments to resolve technical and commercial issues.
• Prepare, review and approve Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Inspection Test Plans and other project documents.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure progress, quality, safety and compliance.
• Review Bills of Quantities, shop drawings, material submittals and procurement requirements.
• Monitor project costs, manpower utilisation, material consumption and overall performance against budget.
• Prepare progress reports, cost reports and recovery plans; submit monthly progress claims and variation orders.
• Lead project meetings, identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Support commissioning, testing, authority inspections, final hand‑over and close‑out activities.

Required profile

• Strong technical knowledge of firefighting, fire‑alarm and life‑safety systems within fit‑out and building construction projects.
• Proven experience managing fire‑protection fit‑out projects from initiation through commissioning and hand‑over.
• Solid understanding of NFPA standards, UAE Civil Defence regulations and relevant international fire‑protection codes.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, BOQs and technical specifications.
• Excellent project planning, scheduling and cost‑control skills.
