Freelance Events Accountant

About the role

Legends Global is seeking a Freelance Events Accountant to manage the financial aspects of its worldwide events. The role involves close collaboration with operations, project managers, vendors, and clients to ensure accurate and timely financial management for each event.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with operations, project managers, vendors, and clients to ensure accurate financial management of each event.
• Manage event‑related financial transactions, settlements, accounts payable and receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Maintain accurate accounting records in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Prepare event settlements, reconcile revenues and expenses, and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Issue customer invoices, monitor outstanding balances, and follow up on collections.
• Produce monthly financial reports, event profitability reports, and budget variance analyses.
• Perform bank, cash, and credit‑card reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
• Record accounting entries accurately and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Monitor event budgets against actual expenditures and report significant variances to management.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits and respond to audit queries.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
• Professional accounting certification (ACCA, CMA or equivalent) preferred.
• 3–4 years of accounting experience, preferably within events, hospitality, entertainment or project‑based environments.
• UAE National applicants are encouraged to apply.
• Must have own visa/sponsorship for freelance work.
