Full Professor – Public Health & Epidemiology

About the role

The Institute of Public Health at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, United Arab Emirates University, is seeking a Full Professor in Public Health and Epidemiology. The successful candidate will join a vibrant academic community and lead internationally‑visible research while delivering high‑quality teaching and mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and sustain a high‑impact research programme in public health and epidemiology.
• Secure and lead externally funded projects as Principal Investigator.
• Maintain a distinguished record of publications in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Supervise and mentor MPH, PhD students, post‑doctoral researchers and junior faculty.
• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and curriculum development.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaborations within UAEU and with external partners, including health authorities and international research organisations.
• Participate in academic administration, service to the Institute, College and University.

Required profile

• Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD or equivalent) in Public Health, Epidemiology, Population Health, Preventive Medicine, Biostatistics or a closely related field.
• Internationally recognised research record with sustained academic excellence.
• Demonstrated ability to obtain competitive research funding.
• Experience supervising graduate students and post‑doctoral researchers.
• Commitment to high‑quality teaching and curriculum innovation.
