Gas Turbine Cleanline Operator

About the role

Sulzer is seeking a Gas Turbine Cleanline Operator to join its Abu Dhabi workshop. The role involves cleaning and preparing rotating equipment for safe and efficient operation while supporting the company’s quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Clean rotating equipment components such as aeroderivative gas turbines, pumps, compressors and steam turbines.
• Process components in various chemical tanks.
• Perform grit and vapor blasting on equipment parts.
• Carry out hand cleaning of diverse components.
• Operate a ball burnishing machine for surface finishing.
• Identify and suggest improvements to quality standards within the department.
• Adhere to health, safety and environmental procedures at all times.

Required profile

• No formal qualifications required; full training will be provided.
• Preference given to candidates with prior experience in a clean‑line or workshop environment.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Cleaning of rotating equipment (gas turbines, pumps, compressors, steam turbines).
• Grit and vapor blasting techniques.
• Hand cleaning of mechanical components.
• Operation of ball burnishing machines.
• Processing components in chemical tanks.
