Gas Turbine Fitter

About the role

Sulzer is seeking a Gas Turbine Fitter to carry out repair and overhaul of industrial gas turbines, power turbines and related accessories. The role involves hands‑on work in a workshop environment, ensuring turbines are returned to full operational condition. You will also support training of junior staff and maintain strict documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, bulk strip, detail strip, sub‑assemble and final‑build industrial gas turbines and power turbines.
• Perform accurate recording of critical fits and clearances and report out‑of‑tolerance measurements.
• Follow and complete all overhaul procedures and associated documentation.
• Use and maintain specialised tooling, ensuring safe storage and reporting of defective equipment.
• Maintain engineering standards, appearance, timekeeping, discipline and housekeeping.
• Train internal employees on turbine repair processes.

Required profile

• ITI, SVQ Graduate or equivalent (desirable).
• Minimum 6 years experience in gas turbine overhauling and repair.
• Previous experience in a senior workshop role within fabrication, repair or construction environments.
• Knowledge of gas turbine repair and refurbishment processes.
