General Accountant – 1 Year Contract

About the role

We are seeking a diligent General Accountant to join our finance team on a one‑year outsourced contract. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting cash flow management.

Key responsibilities

• Process receipts from cheques, bank transfers, credit cards, cash and direct payments.
• Perform bank, commission, insurance, customer credit balance and account reconciliations.
• Handle petty cash, monthly expense accounting, vendor payments and client refunds.
• Coordinate with insurance companies regarding receipts and refunds.
• Process payment requests and support daily cash and cheque deposits.
• Resolve unallocated transactions and maintain accurate financial records.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable and financial reporting.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
