General Accountant – Full Ownership of Accounting Function

About the role
A client is looking for an experienced General Accountant to take full ownership of the finance and accounting function of a growing SME in Dubai. This is a standalone role reporting directly to the CEO, for a hands-on professional who can independently manage end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, compliance and business support.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of UAE accounting experience (mandatory)
- Proven experience managing end-to-end accounting for an SME
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and preparation of financial statements
- Experience with both Free Zone and Mainland entities
- Experience in a standalone accounting role and stable employment history preferred
Required skills
- UAE VAT and Corporate Tax
- Month-end and year-end closing
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations
- Cash flow management, budgeting and management reporting
- Payroll, WPS, EOSB and audit coordination
- ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel
