General Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a qualified General Accountant to join our Dubai-based enterprise, supporting a diverse portfolio that includes luxury fashion and lifestyle brands. The role involves comprehensive accounting duties and participation in strategic financial initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and analyse financial records, budgets, and general ledgers.
• Prepare and review financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements and cash flow reports.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing and perform reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate general ledger entries and financial reconciliations.
• Assist in financial restructuring, mergers and acquisitions projects.
• Conduct forensic accounting, audits, fraud detection and risk assessments to ensure compliance and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA certification is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, tax regulations and financial reporting.
• Experience with financial forecasting, auditing and tax preparation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in accounting software: QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, Xero, NetSuite, Oracle Financials.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and tax compliance tools.
