General Cashier & Cost Accountant (Hospitality)

About the role

Join the finance team of a leading hospitality brand and ensure the accurate handling of cash and cost accounting functions. You will be responsible for maintaining precise records of all receivables, supporting budgeting activities, and delivering cost‑control insights that enhance operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily bank deposits and coordinate armored car pick‑up.
• Process daily due‑backs, inventory cash deposits, and reconcile cash envelopes.
• Generate the General Cashier’s Report and ensure sufficient funds for hotel operations.
• Assist in budget development, forecast cost data, and perform variance analysis.
• Maintain inventory records, monitor turnover, and identify slow‑moving items.
• Establish and update standard costing systems, analyze cost variances, and implement cost‑control measures.
• Prepare cost reports, profitability analyses, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audits by providing cost data and documentation.
• Collaborate with department managers to identify cost‑reduction opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in cash handling and cost accounting within a hospitality environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to reconcile discrepancies promptly.
• Capability to work with finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and variance reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills for inventory and cost analysis.
