General Ledger Accountant – Financial Technology

About the role

The General Ledger Accountant will ensure the integrity of the company’s financial records by accurately posting, reconciling and reviewing all ledger entries. Working within Network International’s fast‑moving FinTech environment, you will support compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and post journal entries in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all entries.
• Perform detailed reconciliations of balance‑sheet accounts, including accruals, pre‑payments, fixed assets and operational schedules.
• Validate operational schedules from the Operations Department and resolve any discrepancies.
• Investigate and correct variances in financial documents and reports.
• Maintain organized, audit‑ready records of all financial transactions.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years (60 months) of experience in general ledger accounting or a similar finance role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls and financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently, analyse discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
