General Manager – Oilfield Engineering, Manufacturing & Services

About the role

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, commercially‑driven General Manager to lead and grow an established industrial business serving the Oil & Gas and Energy sectors. This hands‑on leader will translate strategy into results, balancing customer engagement, commercial negotiations and operational execution across the UAE and wider Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive overall business strategy, growth and profitability across UAE, GCC and MENA markets.
• Identify new markets, customers, products, services and strategic opportunities.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with major Oil & Gas companies, EPCs, drilling contractors and other industrial customers.
• Lead the commercial agenda including sales, business development, tenders, pricing, negotiations, contracts and key accounts.
• Take full ownership of revenue, margins, EBITDA, cash flow, working capital and overall P&L performance.
• Ensure profitable execution of engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, machining, repair, maintenance and field/service activities.
• Drive productivity, asset utilisation, cost optimisation, quality, delivery and operational efficiency.
• Build a high‑performing leadership team and foster a culture of accountability and commercial thinking.
• Lead major customer escalations, commercial decisions and strategic negotiations.
• Evaluate investments, CAPEX, partnerships and new business opportunities based on commercial returns.
• Maintain strong QHSE, regulatory, contractual and operational governance.
• Promote continuous improvement, digitalisation and data‑driven business management.

Required profile

• Commercially‑driven leader with a proven track record of building, growing or transforming industrial businesses.
• Strong commercial acumen and clear understanding of how to generate profitable revenue.
• Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities and convert them into sustainable business.
• Experience in pricing, margin management and P&L responsibility.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with senior stakeholders in Oil & Gas, EPC and energy sectors.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive operational excellence.
