General Studies (English) Faculty Position

About the role

The General Academic Requirements Division seeks a dedicated faculty member to teach General Studies courses in English. The role combines classroom instruction with research integration to enhance students' analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality lectures and tutorials in English for General Studies programs.
• Develop and update curriculum to ensure industry relevance and alignment with international standards.
• Incorporate educational technology tools into teaching practices.
• Contribute to the division’s research agenda and embed research findings into classroom activities.
• Support the development of students' soft skills and workplace readiness.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in TESOL or a closely related field (required).
• CELTA and/or DELTA certification (preferred).
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience in the relevant discipline.
• Experience in integrating educational technology into curriculum design.
• Additional master’s qualifications in Business, Communications, or Social Sciences are desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency in TESOL methodologies.
• Familiarity with educational technology platforms.
