Group Senior Manager Legal

About the role

The Group Senior Manager Legal provides commercially focused legal guidance and assistance to head office and regional management across DP World’s Ports & Terminals pillar.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic, reliable, and user‑friendly legal support to senior managers on a wide range of business matters.
• Review, draft and negotiate various legal documents such as joint‑venture agreements, concession agreements, terminal services agreements and internal policies.
• Identify and analyse legal issues in ports and terminals transactions and projects, offering clear commercial recommendations.
• Maintain strong links with external counsel, select appropriate firms, and manage external legal spend.
• Develop contract templates, playbooks, approval matrices and contracting processes to ensure harmonised, risk‑mitigated contracting.
• Act as liaison between commercial teams and external counsel, overseeing and reviewing their work.
• Report material legal matters to the Group Vice‑President Legal (Ports & Terminals).

Required profile

• Law degree from an accredited university and qualification to practice law.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in an internationally recognised law firm or multinational company.
• Preferable experience in the Middle East and knowledge of cross‑border corporate and commercial transactions.
• Commercial awareness, strong analytical and organisational skills, and ability to negotiate legal issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
