About the role

Daikan Hospitality Group is seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead its culinary team across its Japanese-inspired restaurant portfolio in the UAE. The role focuses on driving culinary excellence, maintaining high standards of food quality, and contributing to the brand’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Design and innovate menus that reflect the restaurant’s vision, seasonal ingredients, and guest preferences.
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and monitor food preparation processes.
• Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff on cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen management.
• Oversee inventory levels, stock rotation, and work closely with suppliers to manage food costs.
• Optimize kitchen workflows to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and guarantee timely meal preparation.
• Engage with guests to gather feedback and create memorable culinary experiences.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high‑volume kitchen.
• Expert knowledge of Japanese cuisine and culinary techniques.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
• Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
